There are a few congratulations in order.

First, I forgot to tell you all about Jay's birthday! I think birthdays ought to be enjoyed to the last drop, and though others may not agree, I hope you'll join me in wishing Jay (a somewhat late but) very happy birthday!

What reminded me of this was that today Jay was wearing his new Birthday Bonobos pants. If you haven't heard of Bonobos, you should check out their site. These guys have simplified and mastered the art of pant-making.

In Jay's hands are the boxes we've been waiting for. These cut-metal beauties will hold the Charter Member Gas caps when we send them. This effort has been in the works for quite a while, and it was worth the wait. The boxes and Gas caps are awesome.

Congratulations to the Local Motors Charter Members for developing a diverse and constructive community. I have seldom met such a passionate group of people.

Mike & Dave, awesome design on the box & gas caps - the Charter Members are going to love them.

I couldn't help but think maybe Jay's spirited green pants were in support of our local super stars, the Boston Celtics. If you've ever been to Boston, or met a person from Boston, then you know their teams are never the underdogs - even if they are the underdogs, they're not. Boston breeds die-hard fans unlike any other city - or at least Bostonians are more vocal about their favoritism!

Congratulations to the Celtics, and to Mike Pisani -the true die-hard fan at Local Motors. Here are some pictures he took at the April 30th Playoff Game.

The Miami Competition starts tomorrow (or today, depending on when you read this). This is going to be an awesome and intense competition. I can't wait to see who we congratulate after June 17th...
